Tell me why this won't work.

And talk me out of wasting the money. I'm looking at my Cold Steel Norse Hawk and thinking (smell the smoke?) why can't I have a hatchet/ulu? Remove the handle, it's an ulu, put the handle on, it's a hatchet. Might slow down the arguing about "big camp knife/chopper vs small camp knife and a hatchet"???

How do you plan on having the handle properly hafted yet easy to remove? I've never yet had an axe handle that didn't require serious work to pull off, and I can't imagine if it were looser that it would safe to use.

Its a tomahawk isn't it? not an axe. so the handle wouldn't be overly difficult to remove.

The problem might be getting the head ground thin enough to be useful as a knife, but durable enough to be swung around as a hawk.
