Save me some money. I'm an old man. I should save up for Depends. Tell me the point rounded off the first time you sharpened it.

Tell me it is uncomfortable and too small.

Tell me it's useless.

Please.

My kiwi is ornery. It eats too much feed and chases the ducks around the back yard all day and it never learned to talk like the petstore owner said. It bites my eyelids when I sleep, too.

Alright Lavan, here you go. The Kiwi is a small and very uncomfortable knife. And the tip rounded off when I sharpened it. It's basically useless.;) YEAH RIGHT!!!!! Just buy it Lavan! You know you want to. We're all fellow Spyderco fanatics. *uck the Depends! I'd rather piss myself than not have this knife, PERIOD! Gotta love peer pressure! hehe:D

Sorry, would rather stick needles in my eyes than say bad things about one of my favorite knives.

Only thing I like better than a Kiwi is my little flock of them. :D :D :D

I lost my jigged bone Kiwi yesterday and I'm heart broken about it. I love that knife and I've got to get another as soon as possible. :(

Hate it....you must be nuts.

I LOVE my Kiwi.

It is very beautiful, and gives a very safe grip for such a small knife.

Also, it proves that fresh, original design is still possible.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a pearl handled Kiwi?

:)
Well, I don't care much for pearl myself, but if you really want one, Santa Fe Stoneworks, the folks that made my malachite Kiwi, can do you up one in either white or gold pearl (or purple mussel if you want something really wild). Think my next one is going to be dinosaur bone.

AG Russell will have pearl and abalone as an exlclusive. We're working on stag for him as well.

The Santa Fe Stoneworks Dino bone is outstanding. (as is all of their work)

..Best office utility knife ever....

I couldn´t imagine any other spydie that is as functional AND low profile in daily use.

that I have a Native III and can't think of replacing it with ANYTHING else.

But the Kiwi is....(dare I say it?)......CUTE.

Not cute in the funny kinda way of course, but cute in the he-man cut em up macho kinda way.

er...um...I'm just gonna leave it at that.

:)

Buy it. You won't regret it. If you don't buy it..you just may never know how much you'll love carrying it. Trust me, the Kiwi is a keeper. I thought bout trading mine but it's not going anywhere. The only thing that we need now is an FRN version. That would kick ars.

It only has one blade.
Less to cut yourself on when sharpening (sorry, read your other post and couldn't resist) and if you stick with using the flats on the sharpmaker you won't round the tip either.

It's too little.
It's the perfect size, rides unnoticed in the pocket, yet the choil allows a full four finger grip when needed.

It's funny looking.
It's cute and benign looking, in the ultra PC environment where I work, cute and benign go over a LOT better than ugly and evil looking. One of my coworkers actually went out an got a jigged bone one for her husband after seeing mine.

Then again, if you'd really rather something larger and more conventional looking, I've found the Persian, at about the same street price as a jigged bone Kiwi, raises very few eyebrows and gets almost as many favorable responses as the Kiwi.

Funny how some folks minds work, sheeple sees me peeling an apple with a 25th Anniversary Delica and says "ooh, that's kind of pretty looking". Month goes by and the same sheeple sees me doing the same darn thing with a CF Delica and asks "who ya gonna kill with that thing?". When I point out that, aside from the handles, it's the same knife they thought was pretty a month earlier, they say "impossible". Next day, bring both, call them over to my cubicle, lay both knives out on the counter, and they say "well, ok, they're the same size, but that one is pretty, and THAT THING is nasty looking". Which is why my normal EDCs for work are the bone and malachite Kiwis and I now anxiously await the stag one Sal is so cruelly teasing me with. :D
