Temperance or Perrin?

I am considering either the Temperance or Perrin as my next purchase. It would be for EDC/defense and I was looking for some feedback/opinions,from any owners of either knife.

I don't have either yet. To be honest the only reason I don't is because of our 4" blade limit. Here is a thread where I asked a similar question:

I have handled both, and both are good knives. Look at the handles, and THERE is the important difference. The Perrin's blade and handle are in a straight line with one another. The Temperance handle is contoured along a curve, relative to the blade's axis. (An extreme example of this same thing would be the Massad Ayoob folder.) For MY hands and habits, the Temperance is better, and will be a near-future purchase. Not that there is anything wrong with the Perrin. I am just glad I was able to handle both, side by side, at a knife show. But, I had already guessed correctly by looking at pictures, beforehand. I already LOVED the Gunting, the Military, and other knives with handle contours much like the Temperance.

I have a Perrin and think it is a great knife for SD or utility. Great cutter, very light and well balanced. Excellent knife.

Either the Temperance or the Perrin will do well as EDC/defense, but I'd give the nod to the Perrin as it has a longer blade and smaller profile for concealment.

The kraton inserts on the Perrin makes the handle feel better than the Temperance.
