I just received a Spyderco Temperance (plain blade, satin finish, #093) from a recent trade (Thanks, "leroy's 45"!), and I am in-Love with this knife!! The blade is incredibly SHARP (but then, VG-10 IS my favorite steel for a reason), the handle feels excellent (GREAT ergonomics), and the Kydex sheath fits perfectly...And I really Love the "looks" of this knife. The blade is PERFECT!

This is my first Spyderco fixed blade, but it certainly won't be my last!.:).

Sal...You did an EXCELLENT job on this one!..(I'm having a HARD time putting it down so that I can type.:D). Are there any plans in the works in making a larger version of the Temperance?...Maybe with a 7-7.5 inch blade?

WHAT??? no Spyderco RONIN!

Your next fixed blade Spyderco should be the RONIN!

Seriously the Temp Spydie is really cool isn't it? I picked one up yesterday and had a hard time not buying it right then, but I was getting a gun at the time and low on cash.

Your knife is my next Spyderco purchase.

It feels great in the hand and I really like the carry rig.

Spyderco is doing a great job with the Kydex production.

Enjoy that Temperance!

I've usually got my fb03 on... the fb05 is out right now getting a new kydex rig from eric... just don't like the factory tension since other ppl can pull it too. No chances with the fb03 sheath from eric, but it's loose enough that I can use my thumb to release the sheath.

The Temperance is a great knife, I still carry it often. (Collector #27)

The full flat grind makes the Temperance a great cutter and VG-10 is an amazing steel.

Spyderco makes outstanding fixed blades, I still need a Lum and Moran though...

I bought a Ronin 2 weeks ago and it instantly became my EDC...

I hope Spyderco keeps making such awesome fixed blades...

The temperance rules! And you can get it with a black blade, FULL serrations and a trainer! what more would you want?!

Mike Sastre sells IWB sheaths for these and has them in stock. I tried one and it's excellent, although instead I bought his Ronin sheath upgrade for IWB belt carry. Very reasonable prices and excellent workmanship.

Edited to add: Jim Keating wrote that he will be carrying and working with Temperence exclusively during the upcoming Riddle of Steel.

I don't find ANYTHING wrong with the kydex sheath that came with MY Temperance. It's excellent...Just add a belt-loop or G/J-hook to it, and you have an IWB sheath.

Very nice knife. I´ve got the black bladed version and two trainers.

Only "problem" I´ve found is carrying the knife IWB because the last inch of the handle sticks out too much.

I just have to find a new way of carrying it concealed unles Sastre has found another way to build his sheath so that the handle becomes a non-issue...?

This 4" blade limit sucks. I would love to get a Temperance for carry, but can't here. :(

If it were only a little shorter.

As it's a custom sheath, Mike can modify it to ride a little lower, giving you what you need.

Spyderco did do a great job with the sheath, by the way. But one size does not fit all in certain cases.
