Hi,

I’m new to the hobby and this is my first post. I apologize in advance if my question is trivial. I learned what I know to this point, reading this forum. If I missed anything about my question, let me please apologize in advance.

Instead of asking a lot of questions about what I need to learn, I’ll stick to a specific question.

I’d like to know about increasing the temperature between temper cycles.

If, just say I run a temper cycle at 400F, twice for two hours each. Then run another two hours cycle at 450F, will the knife be considered as tempered at the latest tempered temperature, 450F?

Thanks in advance,
Constantin

Yes

I assume you learned what you know by reading the Knifemakers Forums here, correct?
Correct and I’m still reading it, thanks. I see, I should have posted in the Knifemaker’s forum, my apologies. Please feel free to move my post over there, i don’t know how to do it. Maybe an administrator could help, thanks.
