I was at Costco yesterday and saw this new item.
https://www.costco.com/calphalon-quartz-heat-countertop-oven.product.100506929.html
It is selling for $159 ($199 with $40 off) and can be ordered online with free shipping. It comes with a bunch of trays and accessories.
It has quartz elements and says it has 40% more even heating. It has a convection fan and other features that should be good for tempering. I might get one as a Christmas present for a friend's shop and check it out after New Years. If someone is considering a toaster oven, this might be a better upgrade .... and you can heat up some sausages or a pizza while working in the shop.
It might work to lower moisture content in wood you are sending off for stabilizing, too. It has a dehydrator mode that may take care of it for you, or you can set at 90-100F and run the convection fan.
Anyway, just an idea to toss out there.
