Tempering Question

When you heat treat blades in an oven should they be wrapped in the tool wrap during the tempering process too or are they just wrapped for the hardening process? Thx.

On stainless you just need to have them wrapped for the hardening phase,The tempering temps are not high enough to cause any problems.
