I have a Tempest in ATS-34. I love the blade shape and feel, It is a great knife, tough and stout for EDC. I got the knife as an engagement gift from my wife last December. When I suggested putting it away, it knida hurt her feelings. She really wants me to use it.

All of that to say, either the Sirus models were not out or I just didn't see them, but I would prefer a solid frame over the skeletonized one on the Tempest. If I sent the knife in to Buck, could they just replace the frame? What would something like that cost?

Another issue that I have is being left-handed, I really need the clip to be on the other side. I had the blade open in my pocket only one time, but this was scary! Fortunately, I did not cut myself. Would Buck do this type of conversion, or would I have to find a custom clip?

I have a Sirus and I chose it for the reasons you merntioned about the skeleton frame of the Tempest. If I were you I would surely try to see if they would shft the clip. All it would take is three holes tapped for the screws on the clip.
