All, I am looking for a Templar replica for display. I have no clue where to look so I did some internet searching and I am now more confused than before I started. I don't want a $30 replica nor can I afford $2000 replica. Do you guys know a reputable shop that I could look into what they offer? Thanks very much in advance

Albion makes faithful and functional reproductions of sword patterns from medieval Europe, migration era Europe, and the Roman Empire. They even have a model named the "Templar." I haven't looked into them for a while, but I think their prices hover between $700.00 and $1,500.00. Note that Albion does not typically provide scabbards, so you'd have to source one from a 3rd party maker.

There are also various options for one-handed arming swords through Tod Cutler, Royal Armouries (UK, although produced by Windlass in India), Dynasty Forge, and others. I think you can also order Windlass swords through Atlantic Cutlery, but I'm not as familiar with that retailer.

There is a website called Kult of Athena which is like KnifeCenter but focused more on swords, daggers, polearms, shields, etc. with a pretty extensive selection and user friendly search functions. This may be your best bet to find something accessible and in your budget.

Before you buy anything, look up reviews on Youtube for extra info. Channels like Scholagladiatoria, Tod Cutler, and Skallagrim have published in-depth reviews of many swords that are commercially available. I'm sure there are other channels, but I generally stick with the three mentioned above.

Good luck, and please follow up with pics of whatever you choose.
