Temporary Trades? Knife swaps?

I'm not sure if this concept has been brought up before, but what do
you guys think of the concept of temporary knive trades? Basically a
knife swap.

So for instance I have a blade that I've had a while and
wanna try something new, but don't really want to get rid of it on a
permanent basis so I ask someone else to swap out for a knife they feel
the same on and we swap. Then we use each others for a set period of time,
and then give them back.

I think it may work as the passarounds are pretty sucessful. Just throwing
it out there to see if anyone has ever done it in person or over the internet/
forums.
 
It could probably work so maybe we could get permission to start posting in the passaround subforum for temporary trades? I'm not sure the trading forums would be a good place to try because they might get confused with the permanent trades.

The only problem would be making sure no hard use was done or that the type of use will be agreed upon initially. I know some knives I use but don't want to beat on them where they get scratched up or dinged and everyone's definition of hard or light use might be different. Might be worth a try at least? I asked about something similar once but it was a trade to check out another persons sharpening abilities. Basically send each other a knife that you have sharpened and exchange constructive criticism and see what someone else's sharp is. I don't think I got the first reply so I guess I was the only one who thought it would be 'neat.'
