Tenacious hard use stories?

I am guessing that people are more likely to be using their Tenacious as a beater due to it's low price and that there must be a few good hard use stories out there. How does the Tenacious hold up? Anyone?

Ive used mine pretty hard for the last 4-5 months. Ive used it to cut everything....sandwiches, fruit, plastic, cardboard, rubber...on a few occasions ive used it on dayhikes too to whittle wood, prepare fires, etc. Its seen abit of time in the kitchen too cutting onions, splitting chicken and so forth.

I dont have a single hard-use story for you. for that kinda use i go with a fixed blade or depending on the task some other tool.

The Tenacious's price tag makes it my edc workknife even though i have other knives that i think are better.

I think its a great knife, but edge-retention is rather poor when used hard. But at the price i cant complain. And besides, its nothing the sharpmaker cant fix in a couple of minutes.

I am a contractor and I have used my Tenacious daily for about 3 months. I've used it for sheetrock, insulation, tarpaper... etc. I have basicaly replaced my stanley utility knife with it and it has worked perfectly!!!

I' ve used mine really hard while hiking, for carving wood etc.
I don' t have any real stories for you but I can tell you that it performed absolutely excellently.

I don't really have any stories, but mine has served me very well. I just wanted to share a picture I took today!

Gave one to my girlfriends baby brother (he's 21) as a gift. He was sporting a M-Tech that was so dull it wouldn't cut butter if you dropped a brick on it. I was like "dude, I have GOT to get you a decent knife".

He's literally been using it every day in his job as pilot with it's various mechanical duties and for EDC utility work. It is an awesome blade. I think I'm going to get him a Manix 2 if/when he ever beats the tar out of the Tenacious.

After I got bored with my zdp 189 delica I switched to a tenancious and used that pretty much exlusively for 6 months. It won't stay sharp forever but it is very easy to resharpen and get very sharp. For the price it really is a great knife. I don't particularly care for made in China stuff but this is a great knife, I give them away to non knife people regularly are presents.

besides cooking, cutting boxes etc I cut limbs of pine trees, popped open paint cans etc and generally used and abused it with no problems

I use a Tenacious at work for many cutting tasks. It has held up well and gets the job done. As far as hard use, I have used mine a lot and pushed it some, but it hasn't been abused. The steel is good for working because I sometimes have to cut material against other steels and hard surfaces. If I dull the edge or damage it, it will be easier to sharpen later than some of the higher end steels. The edge retention could be better after cutting large quantities of material such as heavy cardboard, but it still gets the job done. I sometimes find myself wishing for a choil or ricasso. I understand that they wanted to get maximum cutting edge from the blade, but you have to watch it when you're closing one handed.

I wrote an article a year ago in a paper mag - it could withstand a lot of abuse...

I use mine ALL the time at work (cable installer) cutting boxes, zip ties, drywall, trimming the outer foil and shielding from cable, cutting cat5. I also dropped it in 3 feet of snow in January when it was about 10 below. Finally warmed up enough about 3 and a half weeks later for me to go find it. It was a bit rusted, took it home, tore it all down, Nevrdull'd it back to perfect, oiled and resharpened and it's still going strong.
