Title basically says it. Start of by saying that I love the tenacious for price it is an incredible value. That being said I would love a tenacious in a premium steel, any of the s30's, carpenter steel, and etc. As a user and collector I think a premium version would be amazing, I love the blade shape and overall design.

Any thoughts guys?

I would like to see a Persistence in a good steel too. Great knife. It's the cheapest knife I have but I carry it a lot.

No worries. I only found the link because I spend too much time on here and remembered it :p

I am with you on a premium Tenacious, though. Spydies without choils are few and far between, and I love how the edge goes right back to the handle on that line. I would love a premium version of each in the line.

It is a great design, more blade length than a PM2 in a smaller package, and the handle is still big enough. I'd pay $100-$125 for a S30V caliber steel.

I just got a Tenacious last week, and was just blown away by what $35 can get you.

I brought this idea up about three years ago. Sal and others responded and said that it couldn't happen as the price point would have to change and make the knife a direct competitor to other Spyderco knives. So it is what it is, a well designed low cost Spyderco that is unlikely to change. Frankly 8Cr13MoV has good edge retention and has an ease of sharpening that is great for a $35 knife. So, I decided a Sage I was the knife to buy if I had to have an upgraded steel in a similar design to the Tenacious.

I feel like it'd be an excellent platform to try out new and upcoming blade steels. Kinda like the Mule. It's inexpensive enough, to where it could make trying new steels affordable.
