So i got my Green Tenacious and the lock up is like 50%+ should i send it back to BHQ or send it to Spyderco.Plus all the screws are so tight they stripped my torx and i tried 3 different sets of torx to try and move clip to tip up..:thumbdn: Lost me OG Tenacious and it had a lock up way early compared to this one

If you are not satisfied send it back. Did you try to heat the screws to break the loctite?

Does sound like a locktite issue with the screws. If unhappy with lockup just send it in as you mentioned.

i don't have a green or blue tenacious, but i got two early version black ones and the lock up is very late. the lock bar about hits (slight exaggeration to make the point) the other liner side on both of mine. they came that way new from the factory that way. mine might be the odd ones out? but my impression was these have very late lockup by design...although it has little bearing since the lock bar is wider then the gap between blade and liner. that and neither has any blade play. if what mine look like has any bearing you may not find one that doesn't lockup later? mind you i only have two and so my understanding is warped and way off a good representation of the entire production.

that said, i get your displeasure. i dislike late lock up on liner and frame locks. i just learned to ignore it if the lock is secure and no blade play. now i just use them and ignore it. your call though. hope that helps?

50%+ lock up is not a warranty issue. Don't worry about lockup issues until there's a lockup issue :)

My tenacious is pretty darn late but still locks up very solid. You are fine.

I'm sure i'm fine but i'd prefer early lockup on a new knife..But they are out of the green so i'll keep it.I'm not a heavy knife user anyway

I saw a comment on Smokeeater908 like this, was that you? Anyways, I think you should send it back ifyou are not happy with it as said above. I have heard about problems with the blue and green tenacious sprints.

I wouldn't send it anywhere. The lockup is fine. I might ask about some pocket clip screw replacements though

I can't remove the screws myself though..I tried with 3 different torx...But i'm not sending it in.I'm not a hard use knife guy anyway..Plus tip down is ok I'll just use the spydie drop to open :) Its just a pain to send it or return.I just wanted some opinions and see if other had late lock up with there new Tenacious

I'll just use the spydie drop to open :)
That should help your lock up concerns :p
I tried giving a NIB tenacious to a friend last night, he was being difficult since it was all nice and new so I took the new knife and tossed it onto the concrete to show him its no big deal(dumb I admit, I blame the drunk in me). It still works great though, and he took it :D

Im gonna pretend you didnt just tell me that  Is water wet :D

Spydie drop is going to be harder on the lock then a normal thumb open is all I was saying. But really, even with that, if one of my Tenacious develped lock shift to the scales, I would still bet my life on it and rather have it then a sebenza if forced to choose to keep one for all eternity. Not saying its a better knife, I just like it as a user far more. Best knife I ever bought for $20 (6 of them actually :D)

might be harder but i'd only have to do it on a rare occasion .I'm i light knife user.I don't go out of my way to beat up my knives i use them when needed. And for me honesty it's not everyday
