Tenacious WTF moment

Yesterday I took apart my spyderco Tenacious to clean it, I put it back together making sure every part was there. This morning, I find a phosphur bronze bushing on my floor, and assuming i left it out of my tenacious, i opened the sucker up again only to find both of the bushings in place. Ok, maybe it's from another knife, I think. But no, not only have I not taken another knife apart in the last month, all of my knives have the correct bushings in them. So, is my house haunted, or is it possible my tenacious had 3 bushings in it? It is a small one with a notch in one side similar to one of the ones in the tanacious. Could the factory have made a mistake and given me three?

I'm not sure about the Tenacious, but some knives use two washers on one side and one on the other. Maybe someone who has had a Tenacious apart will chime in.

That's possible. When assembled, the washers are used to ensure perfect centering and zero blade play. So, obviously, the chinese guy who built your knife decided to add 2 of the washers on one side. You can tell on which side it belongs because of the varying the size: on my Tenacious, the size is different on each side.

Maybe a look at my pics in this thread from my Tenacious disassembly can be of any help.

Haha maybe the chinese factory worker decided to give you an extra surprise.

I'm pretty sure it had two on one side. Oil can make them stick together and look like one, but when you put it back together they probably separated.

I'm 95% sure that the tenacious has 4 washers,2 on each side. They are very thin, and the oil will make them stick together,so it may appear that there is 2,but in fact there's 4.

Might want to have a look at these photos of a fully disassembled Tenacious on the Spyderco Factory Forum.
