Another state checked off. Did a really nice little 6.6 mile hike in Beaman Park (a 1700 acre park northwest of Nashville) yesterday. Beaman is nestled in some pretty good hills and this one was a toughie. Was hoping Biscuit could make this one with us, but being Valentines Day, I'm guessing he got tied up :D

The trail wound around, up, down and through some very nice hardwood forest and then followed a flowing creek for a couple of miles.

Dozens of these little waterfalls ran down out of the hills and found their way to the creek.

The creek had scoured the hills down to solid rock and was only a few inches deep. These areas actually make great spots to find dinosaur tracks.
None found this time.

I always grab a rock for a souvenir of the hike.

A great spot. If you get the chance to hike here, by all means do it. Once again, just thought I'd take you guys along.

Oh yeah...on the way home we stopped at Ft. Campbell and I bought a stainless steel canteen cup and a Becker Patrol Pack....will post some pics later. :D

Wow, that must have sucked being there. :rolleyes: That place is freakin' beautiful man. May have to make that one, one of these days.
 
Well Trade is kind of a ccelebrity. Damn, double post. Awesome pix, jealous of the patrol pack if its a large OD one.

Sweet spot. It's always cool checking out different parts of the country in photo. Wish I was there though. Sitting in an office on a sunny day isn't my idea of fun but hey...TGIF!!

It's the small one in woodland camo AND it's the Blackhawk version to boot. Nothing to be jealous of here. It really is a nice solid pack though.
 
Looks like a very nice place. Never donw any hiking on that side of the state. Looks I may need to do a road trip. Really good pics. Thanks for posting them.
 
Another awesome trek! I think your next state should be Hawaii and you need to baton a Volcano in half with a 9!!!
 
That is a beautiful area for a hike. We had snow here today but we will get out tomorrow and bang around in one of the local parks. Thanks for the pics!

I really miss MY Infantry home (where I learned to be "An armed camper with an attitude") these days.......damn!!!!
