I heard this knife comes in 4110 stainless steel. Has anyone seen one around for sale? I love everything about this knife except for the carbon steel because I live in a pretty wet environment.

It does come in stainless. I chose to get a carbon 110 and 140 and just take the necessary precautions in wet environments. So, I don't have personal experience with them but I'd expect them to be excellent.

have you seen any for sale anywhere?

Use a good search engine. Took me about 15-20 seconds to find a carbon one. Can't link or mention site due to forum rules.

The Finnish web retailer I use for these seems to only be listing the carbon steel ones right now although I have seen the stainless available previously. I don't know about other retailers.

Yes, using/programming computers since 1964. Simple, I'm sure you can do it.
Use Google, type or copy/paste
Terävä Jääkäripuukko into search bar, scroll down results until you see a site link that has it, there you are. Simple, sure you can do it. ;)
Hint: look for a bushcraft outfitters site.

I found a few references to a stainless steel blade but never actually saw one for sale. They might due limited runs that sell out quickly.

I'd email them and ask if they plan to do a run or re-introduce a SS version.

As for the care of a carbon blade, I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker. Clean and coat it on a regular basis. Store it outside of the leather sheath when not in use.

Close, but not the site I found them on. Re-read my hint above (carbon blade, no stainless).
Sometimes this site's rules make it difficult to help someone
that is looking for anything out of the ordinary. :(

If you can't find that in stainless, take a look the Helle laminated stainless knives.
Really top grade outdoors blades, but expensive. For cheaper, try a Morakniv. Lots of styles, but awful plastic sheaths.

The only retail source I am aware of, is Varusteleka, who commissions their manufacture. They used to show stainless versions on their site, but no longer do. Because they didn’t sell? I dunno.

Their carbon steel, 80CR2V, is excellent. I have spent a couple of afternoons using the Jääkäripuukko alongside my Kansbøl, a knife I really like. It comes in 12c27 stainless, which I gather is similar to 4110. There is no question, the Jääkäripuukko cuts better.

I like most Morakniv (except the sheaths), but never figured out how to sharpen the Kansbol, so never tried that model. Can't do a Scandi grind on it, so I guess just do a standard angle honing? Love 12c27 - great steel.

I lost my Jääripuukko to my soon-to-be-ex-son-in-law and was forced to buy a replacement. One design change I noticed was that bevels have been added to the corners of the spine. The net result is that I can no longer get proper sparks with my ferro rod (Light My Fire) or make wood shavings with the corner. Has anybody else had similar experiences? Seems I have to re-grind the spine to right & sharp angle:(
