Varusteleka released the Skrama in 1.4116 (58HRC). We know that Varusteleka Terava line has some of the toughest knives for a fairly low price, and this one is much more expensive than their other knives, 3 times the price of the 80CrV2 Skrama 240. Nevertheless, they advertise it to be a tough user like the carbon counterpart.

I have a 1.4116 56HRC and I don't find it all that bad. Though, based on feedback from more experienced users of this forums, 1.4116 is neither tough nor any good.

If anything, I feel like Mora, the moment they use wooden handle instead of synthetic handle, the price rock up a hefty amount. What do you think about it?

I saw this and immediately thought HARD PASS. If I didn’t own any Tereva knives, I think I’d buy a regular Skarama 240, 200 AND the 140 before I’d buy this. Fortunately, I already own all of these and more. I’m a big fan but no way I’m adding this one to the collection

I like 80CrV2 quite a lot (blades by Laurin Metalli). Very affordable, very capable. I don't have a Skrama yet, but when I do it will be 80CrV2. No-brainer.

I’ll tell you what I’d love to see going forward. All of the Tereva blades having a curly birch handle option like the anniversary version, keeping the steel the same as the rubber handled versions. Forget the red sheath. Up the price by an additional $50 or so for the wood handle. Mama Mia, I’d buy a bunch more of these.

Almost $400 for the anniversary version though? I wonder how many they will sell. If they can’t get the knife nuts on this forum to buy them, I can’t see people lining up for these anniversary ones

I have been a fan of the Terava series for some time. However the handles on my 140 and 110 recently have gotten loose and have some up and down play. It doesnt effect usage, and I dont think its going to slide over the blade and cut me or anything due to how its molded....but still.

That being said the 200 and 240 are solid as a rock. 240 is incredible.
