Terminology ?

If it is what I call the 'plunge line', it is that part of the blade that you begin the grind and is seen at the part of blade where the edge begins. It is where the grinding wheel or belt 'plunges into the blade steel. It is located at front of 'ricasso', which is that narrow flat area between beginning of edge and front of handle.

I ain't count'n. How many words is that? :)

A plung cut could be any cut that doesn't involve a sawing
or slicing motion.In other words to move in only one direction(axis).
any way thats what it means to me
