Just signed for her. And could not open the box fast enough!
I tore through the packing paper.Only to find, saran wrapped butcher paper. After unrolling the paper I find the coveted Busse cardboard sheath. inspected by #61.
Included is the S.S.S.S. sheet!!!
This should of been a clue to be carefull...
Alass, Overjoyed that the KnoboGanza prize is now in my hoofs.
I am thrusting, parring, slicing at unseen foes. while, using my best foot work. To hack, slice, stab those who would dare attack from either flank.
THEN IT HAPPENED, while attempting some kind of blade up/down reversal, flipping thingy, I lost my grip. (go figure)It is now a "Flying Terror monkey"
heading Very quickly towards my wife's collection of snow globes... knowing I'd better act fast!!! I tried to catch or swipe the blade. Redirect it's present flight path.
Only to feel a sharp sting on my index finger. Ouch!!!
Heck Yeah!!! It's SHARP!!!!
I'm now okay. The bleeding is now stopped. The cut was only 1/2" long. Not too deep.(Thank goodness) A lil super glue & pressure fixed everything.
The TMDF landed safely onto a stack of baskets that holds candles.
It COULD of been much worst.
If just one globe had been broken. this small cut would have paled to the injuries that i would of recieved...Lol:D:D:D
Also remember. SSSSHhhhhhhh!!!

I upgraded my membership so I can attatch the pics. Also (I)Just now thought of the evil primates, the Witch of the West commanded from old movie The Wizard of Oz. Those were the Real flying Terror Monkeys!

Uhhhhhhh..........I usually go outside to break my knives in.........helps keep the house in one piece............try it sometime........ :D

My Knob Creek knives arrived yesterday but they all seem to need a good sharpening.

For me the "Terror Monkey" has the best name out of all the knives :D I just love the ring it has to it!

You gotta watch those flying terror monkeys:eek: Glad it wasn't only a minor cut:thumbup:

hahaha. great story :D
-also a cautionary lesson i will heed. glad it didn't bite too deep, jimmo.
now i sit and stare in the approach direction of the mail carrier.....

Yeah, should have got bit my UG as well. When I opened the box the cardboard sheath had sliped off sometime during the transit, so I was searching for the knife when i found something warped in paper. I pulled it out but it unwrapped and was heading for my foot.

I did what every other "do before you think guy" would and tried to catch it. When I caught it, it was by the dull side of the blade, and my first thought was: "Boy that was stupid."

Then I puled out the S.S.S.S. and realized that who ever was inspecting my knife got a bit carried away, as it looked as if it came out of the shredder. Its sharp though.

Good point, BUT one does not always get to choose the battlefield on which they must fight unseen foes. I too have encountered some in the damnedest places... the kitchen, the bathroom, the nursery

Go git 'em jimmo!!

j/k about the nursery.... but not the Kitchen & bathroom, they're in there.
