I finally got out to the firepit to use the Terror Monkey tonight...No way was this blade staying in the safe.
I used it for everything from shaving magnesium, to striking the ferro rod, to battoning, to opening my beers. It smoked through knotty pine and hard oak with ease. I chopped some smaller branches like you would need for fire prep in the 3" to 4+ " range and it worked great. The coating is very tough on this one, I battoned about 40 or more logs and other pieces and it is hardly noticable.
This knife is a big winner for me. Oh the Skull crusher opens beer bottles caps like it was meant to be, the Busse crew is always thinking .
Thanks Jerry and Crew for the awesome knife, I hammered this blade tonight and it begged for more. I finally found my ultimate trail/camping/firepit/SHTF knife.
Here are some pics of the Terror Monkey Desert Storm Fighter in action and a video of the Bottle opener...err I mean skull crusher.
Enjoy!

so my exact question got followed up by somebody in the last TM thread but still wondering:

do you know how the TM DSF fits in the Spec Ops sheath? combat master looks like it might be ideal. thanks for the pics, Max. this blade looks ideal for use.:thumbup:

Hey JAZUB. I just put the DSF in the Combat Master sheath that I have and it fits real good. Here are a few pics for you.

awesome! thanks a lot, MAX. that looks perfect :thumbup:

:D

The sheath looks a good fit, I'll be giving it a try anyway.

The scuffs on the blade add to the camo if anything, nice work.

Great pics and video:thumbup:

thanks for posting em..

You can't go wrong with this design. Its a SJ on steroids:)

So I was thinking, anyone tried throwing one of these yet? Almost seems made for it.

I'm really looking foward to getting this one! It does look like a good thrower.

I have not thown mine yet but now have an excuse to make a video of it being thrown. It seems like it would be a nice thrower as it is well balanced.
Video to come....maybe tonight

Hi TAB, It is smaller than the BWM but it is all business. For me it fills the void between the my RMD and MoleJack. The blade was designed for fighting but it also chops, battons, whittles, etc..this is what I have always looked for in a blade, but weight and length are real important for me on a camp/trail blade and this has it all. Most are either too fat, heavy, or only a chopper or too small to get real chores done. I have to say that I have finally found my perfect Busse. A friend of mine stopped over the night I took the above pics at my firepit and I had the TM DST point down in a log. He picked it up and said what is this, I said TM DST and he instantly said I want one, you have got to get me one.

I will try to get out tonight and see how it throws.
If you have ordered one I would be shocked if you did not like it.

Have a good day

I have thrown mine. THe Sj throws well, but I couldnt get this to stick. I didn't have much, and Im no pro, but no luck for me.

Kinda like a Fallkniven A2 in Infi with the Busse choil and a solid handle.

After dinner I took the TM out to see how it throws. Well it throws great but I need lots of practice. I was able to get it in the tree 6 times out of 40, I stink!
I found holding it at the second tube fastener threw the best. When I did get it to stick it went in about 2 1/2"
Here is a video of it being thrown and the after pics.

Enjoy!
