Hey guys. Just wanted to share a few pics of today's arrivals.
I know there has been a good deal of discussion on the new comp finish, and on the Terror Monkey and thought I'd throw in my .02.
The BWM is flat awesome. I love the black/tan micarta handles (you'll notice in the pic that the top two, which arrived today, are primarily black with tan around the tubes,
whereas the one I got from the Creek has the opposite color scheme). I'm really excited about the finish. You can see some INFI dimples around the handle and along an upper
portion of the blade, and they look great coupled with the bead blasting. Jerry said this should alleviate the tendency to rust like the last comp finish and it really does look to be superior.
That said, I am even more pleased with the Terror Monkey. It's like a Nuc Meltdown, saber ground, modded straight handled Satin Jack.
The camo is cool, the tan slabs are great (again you'll notice the darker slabs in the pics are the ones that arrived today compared to the lighter handle that I got from the Knob).
Appearance is super sweet, but this baby is all about functionality. It feels AWESOME in the hand. It's got just enough weight to do some very light chopping and batoning, I think it
will slice like a beast, and choking up and using the choil should allow some fairly precise work. I included a couple of in-hand pics to give an idea of relative size.
Enjoy the pics!
And congrats to everyone who scored!
