Not my picture. Terry took it but (he says) it's not Studio Quality. (He's pretty modest about his camera skills...)

Anyway, I'm hoping he'll post some specs on the piece. I know that it's Fiddleback maple on the handle and the temper line is amazing. :)

From Terry's email...
The blade is forged from 1084 and is a little under 4" long. I believe it comes out to about 3-7/8". The overall length is about 8-3/4". The hardware is nickel silver, and the handle is curly maple. I did the handle based on a method I picked up from Bill Moran several years ago. It was stained and allowed to dry completely, then soaked in boiled linseed oil for a day -- about 18 hours. Once removed from the linseed oil, it was allowed to cure for about 5 days. At that point everything was lightly smoothed out with 0000 steel wool. The final step was a good hand-rubbed waxing to give it a nice natural sheen.

It's off to the sheathmaker right now but soon it'll be in my hands. Then, in a few weeks, you should see the same piece come up in the Reviews section. :D

Awesome!

The more of these I see the more excited I get about the monster he's making for me :D I'll look forward to reading your review Brian. Don't be shy about putting this baby to work. That's what Terry builds 'em for :)

Looks great, both knife and picture! Happy waiting now, I know how it feels! :D

Terry does make some great looking knives, doesn't he? He brings out such a nice temper line when he etches his blades. Probably 1084.

Excellent. The maple is very nice. Not too bulky either.

Brian,

Take it from me, you will love it! The sheath is going to be great as well. One thing will impress you as much or more than the looks, and this is how the knife seems to disappear and become one with your hand. Amazing.

Excellent choice and enjoy

I got this piece in yesterday's mail. I'll get some more pictures online as soon as I get them.

I have to admit that it looks even better in person than it does in Terry's photo.

This is really an amazing piece and I can't wait to tell you all how it performs. :)

I'd really like to know the overall weight of this knife. I've been super impressed with the pics of Mr. Primos craftsmanship that I've seen.

I would guess that the overall weight of that knife is next to nothing. Terry's knives are VERY light! I own a Primos big bowie, and it is a lot lighter than it looks.
