First thoughts: "How the hyell am I gonna open this freaking box."

Then after about 15 minutes of struggleing with the box and the plastic bag wrapped sheath and blade, "HOLY SWEET MOMMA OF TOLEDO"

Even though the handle needs finishing, the sheath is kinda tight, and the blade needs polishing to get it back to HI standards, just by holding it the kuk screams for business! Now I know why these are so highly sought after!

Maybe it is the rough finish that it has, but this thing has attitude beyond that of my 21" Chitlangi.

The chitlangi is a great blade, perfect double fullers, checkered handle and bolster, wonderful grainlines. But the GS just says something the Chit does not.

I think I have a favorite in the making:) All I know is that since my Chitlangi and GS arrived my M43 has been getting loanly.

Lets see what happens.:D

Dave,
Is the M43 gets too lonely, send it to Maine. There are a couple of us up here that would love to make it feel welcome!!!;) :D

Send it to Main??!
No, I dont think so. I have heard too many sob stories lately from those who have sold, "their old (fill in the blank)". It has crossed my mind cause extra $$ is always welcome, but I am not in that dire need of cash. (I now know 14 ways to prepare a Tuna Sammitch!;) :p )

Besides I still have room to move in my apt. When I run out I will give you a hollar. :)
