Many of us were fortunate enough to attend the birth of the Chicago Custom Knife Show on the September 10th weekend. This newborn proved to be a healthy and energetic addition to the annual show calendar. Congratulations to the parents!

Unbeknownst (!) to many, there was another historic birthday celebrated on that same weekend - the birth of that up-and-coming "young" knifemaker, Robert Terzuola.

Contrary to popular belief that Mister T's first puppy was a short-haired brachiosaurus, the gentleman in question has just turned a mere 60 years old.

My wife and I were honored to have been invited to Bob's surprise birthday party - and let me tell you, that man was SURPRISED!

I thought I would share a few of my amateur photos of the wonderful evening here.

The birthday boy arrives at the restaurant, accompanied by Susan Weese and Scott Slobodian. That's Owen Wood's back to my camera.

I still can't believe that, with so many people involved, this was kept a secret. Bob wasn't surprised - he was stunned. :D

I really was suprised and shocked! You could have knocked me over with a pivot pin. My thanks go out to all who were so kind as to attend and those who have sent birthday greetings from around the world. Especially, my thanks and love to Susan who performed an act of unparralled coordination in getting everyone there without slipping a hint. Luv Ya Susan ! BOB
