So if I drop the link right in the text it loads like above but if I use the tool it says it isn't valid.

As a Gold member, if you have the pic saved on your device you can click attach files to add it to your post.

Click attach file, find it and then hit insert. It'll give you the option to add it as a thumbnail or full image. I prefer the latter.

Before Spark fixed things up there was a size limit on picture uploads. I'm not sure if it's still in place as I haven't ran into it recently, but it might be.

Thanks for the info. I was aware that was an option but didn't want to run into the limit thing again. I guess I do it that way for now. Appreciate the help.

I clicked on your link. On Imgur I right clicked the pic, then selected "copy image address". Then I pasted that into the "insert image" tool on the tool bar.
It's slow, but does work using a desktop machine running Linux. But it was so slow I was afraid it would time out. It may be timing out on your machine.

The difference is that the link is to a post in imgur. It is not a link to an image.

The difference is link is to your post in imgur, not a link to a specific image in that post.

edit - looks like it cutoff the thumbnail top and bottom, but enlarged shows 100%. Not the beautiful detail many posters have shown.
