I just bought this:
this:http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Beautiful-Case-Tested-XX-1920-1940-2-Blade-Pen-Knife-/00/s/NDgwWDY0MA==/z/VJkAAMXQlgtSrV~G/$_35.JPG
I also have a bone handle peanut on the way that is about 45 yrs old and bone is worn and dull. I am considering soaking both in mineral oil to restore...will color change much? I am more concerned with the beautiful bone on the Tested.

Should be fine. I treat all my bone handles with mineral oil every so often. I spread out a piece of Saran-wrap, lay the knife in the middle, gob the oil all over, wrap it all up, and let it sit overnight. Unwrap in the morning, wipe off the excess, and enjoy!

Your link wasn't working, so I tweaked it to display the pic here. Looks like a nice find :thumbup: :

Mineral oil shouldn't affect color at all, especially on these very old knives. Some brand new bone-handled knives will bleed some color, but that's due more to an excess of dye that hasn't been absorbed by the bone. I'm sure the color is well-set on these older ones.

Flushing with WD-40 can also work to loosen up old knives with gummy/gritty pivots, and it won't harm the color either.
