Tester Needed...

Hey everyone-

We are sending out some knives for review this summer, the Cholera and Talon fixed blades. Some knives will be going out with kydex sheaths and others with our new leather bushcraft style sheath. All in all the testers will need to have their own blog with a substantial following, have a great reputation in the field and be able to photograph (not with a cell phone) their test and get it posted up by mid summer.

Now this is what we would like your help with...Your ideas on the people you would trust a review from. There are tons of people out there claiming to be a "knife tester" and these peeps think that beating on a knife with a stick is the way it gets tested. What we need is a group of individuals that you would like to hear from and their honest opinion. After we get a good sample from all of you we will make a short list and contact these people and see if we can arrange a testing. We could also do a live tweet with Periscope so all of you can join in.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions,
Will-

PS - No the Cholera-Ti will not be in the testing... But there are a couple of test blades that will have our own developed coating that will need a look at. But let's not get ahead of our selves.

I agree; Jim Ankerson, first choice, and Cliff Stamp, second. I'd have to think about 3rd and 4th, which says something. They do very intensive testing, and very fair testing (I think). They consider variables to an extent others can't be bothered with, and are most concerned with edge retention, ease of sharpening, etc. You can count on getting a fair review, but you'll only get a positive review if the knife deserves it. I haven't had a chance to search out your knives, so I have no idea. I know of quite a few good reviewers out there, but not many do the testing videos.

Well, I know I can't really nominate myself, but I would love to do some testing. There is a link to my blog in my signature, and here is a link to the review I got to do on an Ambush Alpha tester, and here is a link to some of the other knife reviews on my blog.

I know you're looking for people who already have an established following, but I am trying to build my repertoire right now. I'd love a chance, but understand if you want more established folks.

Edit: I just thought I would add an actual suggestion, I really like Mistwalker's reviews. I'm particularly fond of his longer term reviews, and I know that I started checking out some of his stuff before actually joining the forum, but I don't know if he has a separate blog.

Ankerson is good but another voter for Mistwalker . No offense to Ankerson but Mistwalker is used to the Sog Bowie as a woodsman tool (which it really isn't ) which shows how great Mistwalker is!
