This is a test of an unfinished chopper going out to a bladeforums member.
It is 5160 Steel, 12.25" long, convex grind with a choil.

thumbs up! that twisting to pry out the chunks will test the edge strength

I'm glad to see someone making these short-bladed, deep-belly choppers, like a parang. Nice knife.

I would be interested in something like that.

I was curious as to blade length and thickness? Looks like a fine chopper, didn't need big strong swings.
D

Thanks! I need to look up the blade length, it is 12.25" overall and about 1/4" thick.

Thanks! I've got another one in the temper oven right now! I plan on making loads of them. :D
