Testing camers skills on Colt

Hi-trying to get my camera skills up to eBAY level-This is shot of a 1919 Tiffany Colt belt buckle. lets see if this comes out

how big is the buckle? looks like a plaque you hang up on the wall.
i like it. you should try and center it more.

Good idea, I'll put a coin next to it for perspective-it's 3" by 2"

Do you have any filters on your camera? The buckle's a little glarey so I'm wondering about a polarizing filter. There are some other good ones if that doesn't do the trick.

I'm using a Fujifilm FinePix1300 and has a feature for setting the brightness and anbother for seting the white balance.

Try turning off the flash and shooting in a well lit room. I find the flash always makes a bright spot when I'm trying to get close enough to get some detail on an ebay item.
