Testing interesting edged tools

I like his testing, but I don't much like his conclusions. His ratings seem to be based too much on subjective factors. (A whole point deduction for handle for not being electrically insulated? WTF? Some of us don't go around cutting live wires all the time...) Also, he really panned some knives that I have heard very good things about, like the Ontario RAT and the Fallkniven S1, and it seemed like it was just because he didn't like them.

Ignoring edge retention also seems like a HUGE oversight, and IMO the RAT (D2) and Fallkniven (VG-10) should have gotten a substantial boost for this, especially when you consider their respective price points (which he didn't.)

He also pooh-poohed the ATC VTAC because of it's obtuse edge and fails to mention that ATC will thin out the edge for you at no charge if you ask them to. To be fair, this is not advertised on their website. (But it is in this old thread.)
