I have been using the Kodiak for more than 4 months now and have used it quite alot. I have chopped, battoned and made feather sticks with it many times. It chops very well and is great at battoning. Firemaking is easy with this big knife. I have even chopped frozen hardwood (maple) logs at -12 degrees and th e knife held up well.
I even did some extreme testing with it including stabbing through a metal plate, chopping a brick and standing on th flat of the blade. The aim of these tests was to verify the overall design and heat treat. Of course I do not in any way encourage this type of use with any knife.
I'm satisfied with all the testing and can say it's a rugged knife.
I hope you enjoy the vid.

Sound quality is very poor. Cannot follow the commentary at all without CC or more volume.
