Hi All,

Long time lurker. I received a BK2 for my birthday this year as I was wanting a heavy duty camp knife for hunting I liked it so well that I had to pick up a BK-11 a couple weeks later. :D I haven't had a chance to use either much (since hunting season hasn't arrived yet and camp time has been minimal) but from what I've seen I think they will make a great addition to my gear.

The Becker addiction thing seems to be catching me full swing as I'm now craving a BK-5...sigh...so many knives...so little $$$. Oh well, mods are cheap (mostly) and I've seen some great ones on here that I'll have to try out myself. :D

Congrats on the knives and welcome to our little corner in the asylum :D

What a nice welcome. You asked for pics so here are a couple of the Beckers and a old friend...Please excuse my poor photographic skills and crummy backdrop. :D

Welcome. Take off your coat and sit a spell.
Sweet 110. Damascus?

Me too. I think my next Ka-Bar is going to be a 5.
Already have a Texas Hunt Co. sheath for it.

Yep, Damascus. Back in '90 I was getting shipped to England to be on hand to replace anyone in the sand if they needed me and I figured I should have something I was familiar with so I bought it. Red bone handle, damascus. Has been in my pack or on my hip for most hunting trips since. Not nearly as impressive as the Beckers but she does fine for me.

Had to look up the Texas Hunt Co. That Field Master sheath looks pretty nice.

I like it here...I think I can hang with y'all for a spell.

i need the space to setup a light box... and a few days to re-re-rephotograph the collections of stuff

someday, the inventory robots will just do it for me...

I think the 110 is quite impressive. I've got a few of the customs myself.

Basically a Spec Ops Combat Master. Sister company that tailors to hunters. The long size will fit the 3, 5, and 7 quite nicely.

Thanks, not nearly worn enough and not nearly as nice as your photography.
My BK2, and BK14 are still unused. Practice, practice, on the photography.

I have a light box, but it's only 18". I set up a 500 watt halogen work light on each side. Ideally, one on top would help too. I have 3 on a tripod, but it's a PITA to have to set all that up. An 18" box is okay for the smaller stuff, but for the bigger stuff, forget it. Unless, that is, you don't mind seeing the box seams, which kinda negates one of the reasons to use a light box in the first place. Here's few I did with it. I can get it much brighter than this, it's just the effect I was going for:

Welcome to the forum. Looking at your picture brought back a memory to me. when I was a teenager 35-40 yrs ago ( ) I had a log in my room just like that one that I kept speakers and what not on. Every now and then it would catch a 22 short round. Boy my dad would have whooped the tar out of me if he knew I discharged a gun in the house! LOL. Sorry didn't mean to drift I just hadn't thought of that in a very long time.

LOL, Idaho Guy, I use that log to raise the head of a bed at my place for my dad's acid reflux when he visits. :-)

Warrior, those are some fantastic pics.

Guyon, I thought it looked like a Spec Ops sheath. I didn't know whether it was rebadged or not.
