Today the gardener came and left us with a lot of big branches,so thats a playground for me:rolleyes:
I've got a chance to test my ESEE 3!!!
So here i've got a few pics and a movie of me and my brother battoning.
I'am the first one, I know i'm pretty bad in battoning but i'm 12 years old :D and it was my first time :D

The Esee 4 is just big enough to cut to most of the branches. I think it wil be a good survival and camping knife.
After a half hour cutting the blade was still sharp enough to cut the hairs on the leg of my brother :D
The "3 is good to use as a big EDC knife I think. It has just to little "blade" to do the job. At the bottom there's a short movie

Couldn't ask for a much better blade to start with. Good to get some wood time with them.

One word of caution for you. Be stinkin' careful with that short handled Fiskars hatchet. They (mine) are wicked sharp, and extremely handy, but that short handle will get you bitten big time with even a tiny lapse in concentration.

Keep up the good work.

Doc

i have to say i love both the 4 and the 3. both can get the job done. which is better is jsut situational. good review by the way

Love the ESEE 4. Remember safety for that hatchet kneel while chopping if you can, and place your wood on the far side of the cutting stump.
