Hello everyone. I'm new to the forums and wanted to know your thoughts on this knife. I know its not expensive for what it is, pretty sure its pakistani steel. Ive done a search on the company in the forums but haven't came up with anything. Seems like its edge isn't hard(did a file test). Any thoughts. Should i send it back to be rehardend and sharpened. Thanks for any inputs. Love the forum just had to join :). Sorry if this post is in the wrong spot.

For real?,,,, you want to send it back to Pakistan for a heat treat and sharpening?,,,that should work out well!

Well i didnt mean it like that. The knife maker is in Huston and i think they get the steel from pakistan. Im new to buying "custom" knives so i was concerned. thanks for letting me know my question was a little dumb. Ill post some pics of it. I really like the knives they sell just wanted to see what you all thought.

I've never heard of them, so I just did a search. From their website:

I think you payed your money and took your chances.

Yep couldnt agree more Thanks. Good thing i got it on sale. Well time to test customer service then. Dont get me wrong its fit and finsh is good but the edge rolling with little use kinda stunk. Ill keep you all up to date on how it goes. Thanks guys.

Damascus + Pakistan = The best Pakimascus steel that Masroor, Asbar, and Ajwad can afford to buy. :)

Ok. Just spoke with them and the were nice and friendly. They said that they wi take care of any problem i had with the blade. So ill be sending it back and when i get it back ill let you all know how it goes. So far im happy with their customer service.

I have read(from some other sites) that you can get good steel from pakistan. I have no source on if thats where they get their damascus but i could be wrong. Now i would rather it be from USA but not at that price point. btw once i download photo bucket ill post pics. Been real busy with work.

Hmmmmmm. I checked out their website. I don't see how they can really be making this stuff in the US. Some of their prices would make the knives impossible to make in the US. I'm betting they're making them overseas. A Damascus keychain slip joint for $5.00?! How could anyone make any money on such a knife if it is really "handmade in the USA"? However, if it's legit, they have crazy cheap prices on Damascus billet.

lets see if i got this right

as you can see my camera is crap and would'nt focus on close up shots. Thanks all for the comments and ill keep you all posted.
