Since some of the folks that hang out here don't follow the knife laws and general sub-forums religiously, a little heads up -

The bill will be discussed next Tuesday. Mr Ritter posted about this in the general sub-forum while I happened to be updating my thread about it in the Knife Laws section. Please check out either thread if you live and/or work and/or visit Texas or ever plan on doing so n the future. :D

Will do. Thanks. I hope we can get some better laws on the books. Or maybe just get some of the hyper restrictive ones off of them.

Go to www.kniferights.org to get the skinny...... Lawmakers at the state level frequently listen to their constituents...... You really can make a difference and Doug Ritter and Kniferights has been kicking some serious legal butt...... They can always use some help though........ Money helps too..... Air fares, meals, hotels and legal beagles all cost$$$$$$$..... Phone calls and emails are really helpful, really helpful.....

Would be nice to get to carry my favorite folders when I move to Texas, especially because they're made by a Texan. Will do my part. The email links do not work in Chrome for me, however.

crimson, I am assuming that you are referring to the email addresses in Doug's thread in General. If you go to my thread in the Knife Laws forum, the links I have there are simple URLs that take you to the Texas Legislature web page for the specific representative. When you get to the page, you can simply fill in the blanks and submit the "email" to the representative's account.

Now the bill we are taking about right now is the pre-emption bill. It will not change any other laws, e.g., length, type, etc. The "knife law repeal" bill is something different and is following a separate path.
