Texas Knifemaker

http://home1.gte.net/rocket05/ is his web site. He has a four page review from Tactical Knives posted there. The only knife I have seen of his in person was a subhilt fighter with an ivory handle that was very nice. Have a folder on order from him that I should have in a few weeks. His stuff is very reasonably priced and he is a great guy to talk to.

I had seen some posts on customs and people were implying that many customs in the sub 700 dollar range didn't have the fit/finish of high end production knives. After i saw Rob's web site and his prices, we swapped some e-mail and he gave me a couple of quotes. I have been thinking about getting on a list for the new MT LCC DA,but after talking to Rob, I may spend a little more and go with one of his knives. He was really accomodating. Thanks for your help Chief.

I have a D/A scale release that should be coming soon. I think that Rob's prices are great and he is very willing to work with you on what ever it is that you want. For example my knife is a smaller version of one of his standard knives.

Rich, I appreciate the info. Rob told me we could modify any of his knives with no problem. When I looked around the different customs forums,I started seeing the same 6-8 names that people were recommending. I sort of got the idea that people were paying for the " name." I'm more interested in having a quality knife from someone who is easy to work with. How long is his wait time right now? Thanks, Bruce
