Texas lawsuit on Assisted openers

With all the crap going on in the united kingdom, I figured it was only a matter of time here. I never thought it would start in Texas, though; N.Y., Cal. or Mass., yes.

I read all of both articles and the proposed changes to the law. I think that this is another attempt to take away rights from the masses. I do beleive that most of those in the legislature use and carry knives at least some of the time so I suspect they will accept the proposed changes to the law to correct the unacceptable court decision that stirred up this hornets nest.

another thing i hate is that "the gun sate" has made balisongs and such illegal-REALLY???? the GUNstate-it's crazy-knife laws are stupid alltogether-this sucks

well it is my missinformed thought that many times the prosecutor tries to change the meaning of a law in order to convict some one
they toss a bunch of charges at someone that needs convection on cases were they want to make a point so they can be reelected !
they have the thought that if they win then they can use that to convict others that need conviction of some thing .. ie: that way they have some thing were they can arrest any one on things they are likely to do any way.. this is never enforced on ones
they consider in power..
my feelings is if only leo or erp can carry it=
then they can only carry it on duty!!!
it is like i feel about DC...
no gun maker or retailer should sell to DC police!!!
there is nothing that should only be allowed for the few of or with "privilege"

How's about changing the law to read: "Thou shalt not possess a weapon while committing a crime." KISS

Snot-that's way too easy for people (especially cops who are supposed to interpret this stuff fairly quickly) to understand. Besides, what would all the lawyers do all day besides make up long statutes nobody understands to keep them in business?!

From everything I've read it works that way on concealed carry of handguns in VT. Not required to have a license to carry concealed but illegal if committing a crime.
