So there's been a lot of talk about a camping trip. It's now offical. We're having one! I'm looking at 2 different weekends. Either the last weekend in Sept 24/25-27 or the first weekend in Oct 1/2-4.

There are several locations I'm looking at but I'm leaning towards Lake Stubblefield in Sam Houston National Forest. We've been there before and there's a nice area for "overflow" campers. Along w/ sites w/ hook ups in the main camping area. http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/texas/recreation/sam_houston/stubblefield.shtml

The weekend isn't limited to those in TX. If anyone from outside the state wants to come you're more then welcome. If you drive GREAT! if you fly let me know and I'll make 1 run to the 2 airports near us to pick people up. I'm sure we could find tents and sleeping accomodations for out of towners.
 
I would love to come, but cannot commit as of right now. But I'll be sure to try and get in on it as soon as I can! Thanks for getting this together! :)
 
I didn't know Tony played Soccer!

As for me, we have Survival / Tracking / E&E training week that we're instructing September 21-25 in Alabama. So I would be out for sure that first weekend. Also have Amazon jungle school in October.
 
I'm in! I'm sure my love, ShawnaTX, will wanna join. Heck, I'll even help with airport pickups since I'm so close to IAH.

do you know when? we could move to the 2nd to last weekend in sept. or maybe early nov. i mean seriously what would a RAT fest be w/o RAT pack member #1?

24-30 so we should be good with your Oct dates.
 
Tentatively I will say yes but I can't guarantee anything since our schedule changes constantly.
 
Stubblefield Lake Campground is a nice area and there is plenty of National Forest to play in. The area can get used pretty heavily during the deer hunting season. Archery season starts 9/27. Rifle season starts 11/1.

I'm going to follow the thread and will try to make it.
 
We may make it. We have a girl scout campout sometime that month, the Texas Hoodlum campout we host, and now this shindig. Plus my birthday is the 4th of Oct. :eek: Gonna be a busy month Katie girl.
