Greetings you all:)

For the past few days I have been carrying my Yellow Tiny Toothpick CV as sole EDC and it held up fine so far.
I ordered the knife out of curiosity and because I wanted a small traditional with a single blade that would cost me an arm and a leg.
Upon unpacking I noticed that it was indeed TINY.
However when I held it, it feld quite comfy. Not as palm filling as my Peanut, but nice and snug.
After I corrected the screaming amount of play:grumpy: and repolished the bolsters, I slipped it in my pocket and decided to just use it untill it would fall apart or developped play again.
So far I cut up some colli flower and peeled potatoes with it for dinner(nice patina already;)), cut some para cord yesterday and opened some mail.
Still rock solid and after some stroping om my belt shaving sharp.
I think I'm gonna like the little bugger.
It feels a little fragile with it's thin handle and blade, but that same blade slides through everything without any effort whatsoever.
And what I like most of the knife is that it has only one blade. Just like the knives I grew up with. I guess I'm just too European to get fully used to multiple bladed knives.:o

I still like my Peanuts and my Mini Trapper, but I think I will give the Toothpick a good honest try.
I just like the way it really disappeares in your pocket untill you need it(evenmore so than the Peanut).

What do you think; is the Tiny Toothpick a good EDC?

For me and the day to day light cutting chores I encounter it sure is.

Thanks for reading:thumbup:

We need pictures so we can ohhhh and awwwww:D And dont forget some nice scenic Netherland backgrounds!!! Thanks for posting

I owned a TT before the Peanut and I do like it very much (chestnut and CV). The long, slender handle and blade give it a very different feel than the nut but it disappears into the watch pocket just as well. I still carry it on my person now and then. Mine also had some play out of the box which was fixed with a few hammer taps.

Good question, with a good answer; If it works for a guy named Arrend in the northern reaches of the European continent, then it must me a good edc.:thumb up:

That's all any of us can ask of a piece of gear, does it work for us? If so, then it's good. Since you don't plan on stepping into a time machine to go back and be a buffalo hunter, or mountain man, a small knife in the pocket is all most of us really need. Heck, look at how many people get by with a Vic classic as their only edc. Man, talk about a tiny knife! I just put my calipers on the blade and it was .046 thousands of an inch. Yet it cuts all sorts of stuff. :p By comparison my Case peanut is .063 thousands of an inch midway down the blade by the nail nick. A number 6 Opinel is .055 midway on the blade. To put all that in perspective, the blade of a Stanley utility knife, that is one of the most ubiquitous cutting tools on construction sites for cutting all manor of stuff, is .030 of an inch. Almost paper thin by comparison.

The toothpick should do well for you as long as you don't try to slice up a slab of corned beef with it.:D

I have a sweet case tiny toothpick. The only issue I have had with it is it likes to fall out of my pocket. I have almost lost it a couple times from this. Its a mean lil booger that I wish I could carry but after those couple close calls I have retired it from EDC. If its not falling out your pockets then great. I'm going to have to grab a large toothpick and see if it presents the same issue.

Shove a wadded up bandana down on top of the knife, and it will stay put. Gur-en-tee it.:D

I used to be curious about the Case tiny toothpick, so I bought one when I needed a gift for my nephew. As soon as I took it out of the box to inspect it, I knew I wouldn't get one for myself. I like a larger knife and from my perspective the TT was microscopic. They weren't kidding when they called it tiny. .

Toothpicks have long blades, relative to handle size. Its a surprise every time you open it!:D Whoa! look at that blade. It is kind of an optical illusion because the butt of the handle is so slender.

The blade is both thin and narrow. Great for fruit aside from other EDC jobs...

Small enough to put in a watch pocket so you can carry another knife if you desired.

I like 'em.

I like 'em for a watch pocket knife, and carry one every now and then.

I like the Tiny Toothpicks made before the frame change in late 04. They feel a bit better in hand now, but I really like the looks of the original frame.
The late 04 change did give them a stronger spring(pull), and is why they made the change.
