My collection has grown so much that I've run out of patterns to try

If I were looking for something in the style of a small 3" toothpick - who should I look at?

3" closed length? Case Small Texas Toothpick. What specifically did you want to try it for? Just for owning and collecting, or did you have a specific use in mind?

Rough Rider makes one. I'd say try it before the Case, in the event you do not like the pattern.
You won't be out near as much money.

If you like the pattern, you can "upgrade" to the Case, or just keep using the Rough Rider.
I think Rough Rider has more cover choices, too.

Its for daily carry, I've played with Peanuts, Pen knives and various other but fancied something a bit different - sub 3" closed goes un-noticed even in London so I tend to carry folders that size. I was thinking a toothpick would fell at home with this little lot

That's a good idea, I shall go take a look at what's on offer

The small Case Texas Toothpick is probably the most indistinguishable in-pocket knife I own. Maybe the tiniest SAK can compete, but the SAK doesn't pack as much blade as the Case. It's very comfortable in hand, and I think it is a fantastic looking knife, as well.

That being said, the Peanut beats it out, imo. The difference between the two in terms of pocket feel and level of "awareness" from others is so minute, but the capability differences between the two is much greater. The double springs of the Peanut give greater confidence in use, and the double blade gives greater utility.

It is a great pattern to try, and I don't think you'd be going in the wrong direction by purchasing a Case, Rough Rider, or Buck.

I had a similar itch to scratch along with a desire for some abalone and was able to score an old stock Queen Tiny Toothpick and I love the thing it looks great and the knife cuts quite well too. If you can find an old stock Queen I would probably put that near the top of my list otherwise I would go with a Case myself.

Blast it! Until a few minutes ago, I thought I had all the knives I wanted and now this thread comes along.
