Anybody have a good way to add some texture (grippiness) to G10 scales. Have an HK (Benchmade) auto axis and the scales are just a little too smooth for my liking. A lot of carry. Great knife just need a little more grip. Thanks for your comments

I've used very coarse sandpaper to raise some grip on micarta. I imagine it would do something similar to G-10. I would remove the grips before sanding, and sand in one direction only. I would wear at least a paint mask as G-10 is some toxic stuff and you DO NOT wantit in your lungs! You can also dip it in a pail of water to keep down the dust.:)

+1 on the sandpaper.
light sanding in an outdoor setup will be fine. G10 is not that toxic.

The resin is epoxy, which, in its fully cured state, is pretty inert.
The reinforcement is glass fiber, which is not good to get in your lungs, but you are only going to roughen the surface. If you are reaching the fibers, you are removing too much material for what you are trying to do.
