I decided to play around today a little with my dads milling machine. I wanted to texture the handles on my RC-3 put wanted something different and clean. I decide that on a small knife most, if not all, the grip area is in the top and bottom areas of the handle. With that being said I wanted extra grip but not overkill.

So here she is......

It feels really good in the hand....can even tell a difference with gloves on.

Updated OP with pic request.

Thats LEGIT bro! Nice work. I bet you could make some cash milling scales for forum members! (I would pay for that quality workmanship! :D)

Looks good man! Wish I had a milling machine to play with. Keep up the good work, you do some cool stuff.

God bless,
Adam

Thanks guys!!! I suppose if anyone is interested in this shoot me a email.....just planed on doing mine and another but if there is a interest I can add this to my mod'ing side job! ;)

This is my favorite kind of customization: not too intrusive, useful and carefully made.

Great!!

As a suggestion (not sure how it would work out though) you might try dimpling the faces of the handle slabs like a golf ball. That would look fantastic and perhaps give slightly more grip (not that you need it, I am sure).

As is it looks pretty cool. I doubt many people realize (unless they have tried) how difficult it is to get the spacing just right so that it does not look like a hack job. Nice work!

Indeed and thanks all!

Dimpling.....not that sounds like another experiment that I need to try. When the ice clears its back to dad's to get back on the milling machine.
