Couple questions. I'm making a knife for a friend and he's concerned that G-10 finished to 220 might be too slick. He likes the idea of textured G-10 ala Spyderco folders like the Military. I'd rather use regular G-10 because I have it on hand, but also because pre-textured G-10 scales will have to be flat, whereas I'd rather shape them nicely to fit the hand comfortably. My questions:
1) Is there a good supplier of G-10 scales that are pre-textured? I would want them thin and only one set, rather than a sheet,
2) If anyone has this material on hand and want to trade or sell a small amount, please email me, too.
3) Would anyone want to help me out by beadblasting my scales after I;m done finishing them? I'm using 1/4" stainless steel tubing for the "pins" and I would want them and the blade masked off. Anyone interested in such a job? Would that give a texture like on the Military?
