Good morning,
I've been EDCing my new Trident in desert cammo for the past month and this thing rocks. Light as a feather, tight and razor sharp and holding its edge very well. One thing I've noticed peculiar to this blade has been an accumulation of condensation on the blade when I carry it in my pants pocket (any pants pocket). As I said, it is only this knife that does that and I wonder if its related to the Copper TiNi coating on the blade? Of the ten or so other knives I've carried extensively, this has been the only knife to do this. The other blades vary as to steel and coatings, however the plain ones haven't experienced rust issues either.
The "staining" that occurs is nothing that could called a patina, more a blotchy, unsightly discoloration of the coating. I've tried mild cleaners and lubricants to try to remove this staining, all to no avail. Has anybody else seen or heard of this happening? Am I on the mark suspecting its the coating? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks all,
Joel
