My TG Battle grade with OD/Black G10 came today, never did get a shipping notice. Very pleased with it, whipped up a quick sheath for it.

I'm going to enjoy using this I've missed my old TGLB.

Looks great..congrats. Whats the attachment on your sheath? Is that a sharpening stone?

Looks great...really like that combo too....have to remember that one for the next order!

And, one of my FAVORITE color combos!!!

Congrats Dave!!!!!

Its a Ez-lap diamond sharpener. I've carried those in the field for about 30yrs or so, they last forever and the body is made of solid brass. The diamond hone is inside the brass tube and you unscrew it then screw it back together with the hone sticking out so it gives you a good handle to hold and they work great.

Nicely done Dave. The sheath you made me fits like a glove. You are a talented hog for sure. Since talking to you I've grown fond of the black and green g10.. Looks great, congrats

Sweet score Dave--I'd be interested in hearing what you think of the BG compared to the TGLB you had(?)... did I read right, you sold it? Lately, I've been looking back at prior offerings and I think I regret not picking up a BGTG; I still have my TGLB, but my son has claimed it, so... I'm looking for something big and bad to take its place. I have a good feeling about tomorrow's offering, however.

Oh, and BTW, just looked up that sharpener--looks good, I think I need one of those too!

Enjoy the blade man!

That OD/TG combo looks great. I've been on a black canvas/TG kick lately. Got a BGTG and a ASH1 on that combo. Next time I spring for G10 I think I'll go with that OD/TG!

I had a original TG and a TGLB, had to sell them though, kids college lol. Anyway the Battlegrade tg feels like its right between the two for weight. Its a little more point heavy than the tglb but not as heavy as the original tg. Its well balanced and feels good in the hand.

Those Ez Lap sharpeners are tough one of mine is 30yrs old at least and still works great. You can't hardly break one the brass tube is so tough.

Sounds good man--enjoy the blade!

And if you ever have college questions, shoot'em my way, I'm a professor. I'd be glad to help if I can.

Nice - and great job on the sheath!

Cool, oldest is graduating in May and getting her commission in the Army. She's going to be a Nurse, youngest well who knows lol. Hopefully she figures it out before she runs out of my GI Bill funding.

Gotcha--I see lots of students go through ROTC; one of my very best students was Army--he was top cadet in the region, became an intelligence officer, and spent lots of time in Afghanistan. We've been in touch often, and I even won him a nice traditional knife via a Veteran's Day giveaway here on BF. If there's ever anything you want to bounce off me regarding college, feel free to drop me a line--use the email option here, I check that account regularly. Best of luck to your children, Anthony
