Looks pretty good! One small gremlin area rest just surface grinder marks - Very hard to etch, very fine lines made it on the engrave - took a long time just to get what I did but it will be there. 3 bandaids worth of work so far :D

Thnx- I was real happy when I got the decarb coming off to see how she looked underneath, you can see the only squig in the shiny spot of last pic- rest are all diagonals- not bad.

Looks really nice, weird how different people are.... some go thru the trouble of etching and don' like "Stealth" Logos, and others order their knives sterile lol

Looks like the mark etched really well. Need more pics once it’s done—looking great, Leo!:cool:

Did that grind line along the fuller get off by the sanding?

Great great job sir! I'm so glad you were able to etch it! The etch is really nice looking!:)

An improvement, IMHO.

It'll be interesting to see how "stainless" these non-stainless blades stay.

I'm hoping the Busse HT protocol boosts their mojo and keeps em more clean than yer ordinary run of the mill tool steel blades.

Thanks all, it's a pretty clean blade - of the few strips for me so far, this was the cleanest of them all underneath - and unlike Infi, the decarb seemed to fall off - One of you more experienced guys that have done more of them will probably notice this right away. It doesn't have the pits in it like I was expecting, maybe that's the difference in the steel.

Looks good. How long etching was it?
Well, it didn't go as I expected based on what I've read and studied up on. This was more than 2 hours worth. I have a cheapy scope I kept looking at it under magnification and the "BUSSE" had barely been engraved to the metal - the "Special Edition A2" text was fine, it took off right from the start like a champ! I thought ok, this is what I was expecting - but the BUSSE ... wasn't sure I'd get it but slowly it started coming - so that's why it took so long. If it had been a better engraving it wouldn't be worth mentioning.
