My TGLB just came in. Took 8 weeks, just as quoted. I wasn't sure about the competition finish when I ordered it, but now may that I have it, it looks great. I think it'll take a great patina after some use. I may reprofile it like my other one as I'm not really a fan of the convex edge. Pictures:

Picked up a nice armorall sheath from the forum

Both pair nicely in their sheaths

That is a good looking combo. I have the same one. I think a nice leather sheath from Dwayne may be next.

Looks good! I'm glad the sheath made it in good time! I feel like I am seeing double as mine is the same combo! :)

Nice TGLB! Just curious, what's not to like about convex edges? I only ask because I see no downsides to it compared to v-ground edges.

I'm not a fan either, never could sharpen them correctly. A V edge is so much easier to deal with as I already have a bunch of sharpening stones I use regularly. My Grandfather taught me to sharpen, and I've done it the same way ever since. :)

Thank you for it, I wanted something other than just plain flat leather in the front and this is perfect.

The reason I don't like convex edges is the exact same as yours. I can get a V edge much sharper (I use an edge pro) and can maintain that much more easily than a convex edge.

Sweeeet Looking pair...

I have almost the exact same setup for my TGLB. Competition finish with black canvas handles with an Armorall sheath (mine's plain black leather). Congrats
