I just got my first busse a tglb. Im getting it stripped because when I got it they only offered coated. So now I need to know if while its being stripped should I get a convex put on it. Im mostly going to use it for a camp knife some small wood processing and camp chores untill I get a steel heart im just trying to figure out which heart model to get then ill put the TG on my tac load out and keep it for show and small woods tasks. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you all. Everyone on here always points me in the right direction.

Yes normally I would but im going to be to tied up with work and the holidays for the next few months to really use it anyways and plus already sent to get stripped now need to know about convex opinions. But your right thats what I would normally do use it till the coating looked to bad and then it might look to bad ass to change.

On a big blade like the TGLB I would go for a nice convex but maybe leaning it down just a bit prior to applying it.

Your getting it stripped, your not stripping it yourself? It is really easy to do, lot of threads in the forums on how to do it. And yeah, I would go for convex myself too.

Ive read some of the info on the fourm about stripping but have never tried it. I might on the next one. Ive been collecting since I was a child and have had many knives with many different grinds but have just got into busse Ive been reading about people convexing theirs and thought that my TGLB would be best with one but im just not sure I dont want to get it done and not like it. I do hope its the right decision. I haven't found that much on here about peoples TGLB with a convex. I just dont want to regret it.

If I recall correctly the competition TGLB's came with a convex edge. I like convex edge's, and they are fairly easy to maintain.

Thank you Jaxx I couldn't figure out how to do it.

Pretty sure it's because of your membership level that you don't have access to title editing? That's a guess. No worries and you're welcome! :)

The CF TGLBs did come with a convex edge. I like it. I recently, last night, convexed my TGLBm. It had a v grind from the shop. The convex is much easier to maintain in my opinion.

I convexed my TGLB and like it much better now. It is definitely the way to go in my opinion. I just hand shaped the handle as well and love that too.

I took my convexed TGLB and reprofiled it to a hair whittling V-edge on the edge pro. I've regretted it since despite being much much sharper now.

It sounds like im getting a convex put on it. Thanks to everyone for all the feedback. The busse fourm is the most heleful out of all the manufacturer fourms on this site very devoted busse lovers. I started this year with zero busse's now I have two and in the hunt right now for the next im pretty sure im a one brand man now. (As far as fixed goes)
