I owned a black/black a couple years ago but sold it because I was too chicken to carry large fixed blades. Today, I finally decided to redeem myself and I bought the one on the bay with the black/OD G10. My plans are to strip the coating and make it my red headed stepchild. It will get carried.

I've been carrying a custom MACVSOG bowie with no issues and the Busse is only one inch longer...

 
Matt, welcome back to the madness!!! :D :thumbup: Just make sure to reprofile the factory edge (I know you will), and you'll be golden. ;)

Possibly send it to REK for bead blast and regrind.
 
Awesome CM; I've beat, stripped, beat, sent it back to Busse for sharpening/ reprofiling, and a mod, and then used it some more... you will not be disappointed.

I'd like to talk to you about a regrind as well.
I have a battle shark ordered, but would like more like (Afros WTF?) should be Drop Point or spear point on it.

"Afros!!!" How does the spell check decide "Afros" is anything like "Drop point?"

I ground a slightly thinner edge on the BoozeFighter. Took about 8 hours on an edge pro, wore out my diamond stones haha!

Do you think I could get a Kydex sheath for the BoozeFighter? I thought maybe when you finish the one you're making...

I was just thinking if the next BoozeFighter was close enough...
But it's ok Matt, I don't know if I'd ever use it...
The leather & stingray sheath you damaged your fingers creating holds the knife great, and the paracord lanyard takes away any thought it may fall outta the sheath... I think out of respect to you CM, and the effort & pain & cost you endured to make me such a wicked piece of blade art, I will continue to use the BoozeFighter in its original sheath!!
It's exactly the right amount of knife protruding...below the vest...
