Hey long time lurker on this part of the forum, especially during The Walking Dead season. But i digress.
Ive been thinking long and hard and come to the conclusion I want a TGLB to beat on. One thing that I do not understand is that when I see one on forum for sale its in the 450$+ range while on the Busse website it is listed as 387$ I know that different handle offerings cost more but even then, canvas handled models ive seen are well into the 400$ Why the price jump even in the secondary market for busses?
Eric-

Taxes and shipping.

Order one direct, wait a long time, pay sales tax and shipping, or you can pay a bit more and get one now from some one else, with a bit of a mark up.

You will find this true with nearly all of their models.

If you order direct, and want to wait, you will pay a bit less, but often the models are discontinued.

You can find real bargains on the exchange, if you are looking, and know when to jump.

Just avoid a huge mark up. People selling currently offered Busse/Scrapyard/Swamprat knives at 50% markups on ebay etc.

Taxes, shipping and G10 handles make them more than $387. You can order one and have it in 4-16 weeks or pay a little more and get one on here. All I know is if you want one the time to buy is now. They'll pretty much never be cheaper than they are now. When they are taken off the site $450 will seem like a deal. Over the last 1.5 years I passed on many at 3-350 because I didn't think I wanted one. I was wrong and ended up paying $387 a few weeks ago.

When I ordered mine like 6weeks ago from the date I ordered It it came to my door in 2 weeks and 3 days just order it direct and you can get what you want.

Also factor in the cost of a sheath. A lot of the ones on the exchange already have a sheath for them. That easily adds around $50.

That completely slipped my mind.

Hey Eric and welcome!

I am glad you are posting:thumbup:

I hate to mention, but due to thread title and registered user status, I need to mention the rules.....

SECTION 5 - Miscellaneous -
WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH ?!?!?!?!
In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site.

Now, I dont think the intent was really to ascertain value but as worded it needs to end.

Please dont be discouraged. If you change your membership to gold I will be happy to unlock this:cool:

and you are more than welcome to start a new thread on a new subject.

Thanks for understanding and have a great day.
